World Islamic infrastructure finance conference winds up

Doha, 6 November The second annual World Islamic Infrastructure Finance conference wound up in Doha after two days of deliberations and intense working sessions with focus on the role of Islamic banks and institutions for financing the infrastructure projects.

The conferees called upon the Islamic banks to innovate purely Islamic financing products and concepts to meet demands of the customers and agents in contrary to the traditional banks and make available short and long term financial objectives of islamic financing to finance the infrastructure projects. They also called for standardizing the Islamic banking industry in all muslim countries and go ahead with such an industry as per Islamic Sharia rules.
